Introduction: Before doing the class activity we would discuss the Ethics chapter and talk about some examples of unethical research that have been done in the past and how to make them ethical. We would then do an in-class activity where they would 1st work with a partner on 2 questions regarding a Facebook study. After the breakout session we would discuss the answers as a class. This will then lead to a discussion about the ethics assignment that they would create using social media. Each student would be required to either do an Instagram post or reel discussing an experiment by Seligman, Maier and Geer (1968). The details are below.
